Christopher J. Ewing is a writer and director living in Los Angeles with his wife, daughter and a large collection of alphabetized compact discs.
As a promo director and producer he's worked with Hulu, Sega, Marvel, Bad Robot, Blumhouse, FOX, Sony, Warner Brothers and more. Chris has directed music videos for Father John Misty, the Hold Steady, Family of the Year and Letting Up Despite Great Faults. His work has been featured on Variety, Pitchfork, Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, Slashfilm, the Onion AV Club, Boing Boing, Paper Magazine and more.
As a senior video producer on staff at Hulu for seven years, he helped grow the marketing team from the ground up and produced everything from teasers to title sequences and featurettes to super bowl spots, like the one he produced and cut for J.J. Abrams and Stephen King’s Castle Rock in 2018. During his time at Hulu he worked on shows including Castle Rock, Marvel’s Runaways, Future Man, Veronica Mars, 11.22.63, Into The Dark, Freakish, Shut Eye, Deadbeat, The Awesomes, C.S.I., Empire and Community.
Chris grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, went to college in Wisconsin and worked as a music journalist before attending film school in San Francisco.
He wishes he could skateboard but has weak ankles.
